Especially when executives use social media to comment on company-related matters. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Beyond that, though, it&amp;#39;s not clear that he was fired for the &amp;quot;content&amp;quot; of his posts [although the &amp;quot;Good Numbers=Happy Board&amp;quot; tweet/timing might be considered edgy]. Simply that he &amp;quot;improperly communicated company information through social media&amp;quot;. Maybe he violated the company&amp;#39;s social media policy. Or that other posts surfaced during the Board&amp;#39;s investigation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It&amp;#39;ll get interesting if Mr. Morphis challenges his dismissal on the first-amendment grounds you cite. Did he disclose information publicly that could have been harmful to the company&amp;#39;s reputation?
